“Jimmy on Anything” opens for Mighty Brothers at Festival in the Park, July 14

The first evening of the 40th Festival in the Park starts with Jimmy on Anything, (the opening band for Mighty Brothers) from 4-6 p.m., Friday, July 14, in the Watering Hole at Spearfish Canyon Park. (scroll down for more about JOA and video)

ADMISSION: This is The Matthews’ fundraising night. Therefore, admission to this event is by the purchase of a $5 wristband at the entrance of the park, or at the entrance of the Watering Hole.

Eliza Blue concert kicks off day 2 of the 40th Festival in the Park

 

On the second day of the 40th Festival in the Park Eliza Blue performs on the Watering Hole Stage from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, July 15, at Spearfish Canyon Park.

ADMISSION: This is a FREE event!

Eliza Blue is a writer, folk singer, and multi-instrumentalist. Her original music has received national press, including write-ups in the New York Times blog and Minneapolis Star Tribune, and she has shared the stage with such greats as Billy Bragg, Kelly Jo Phelps, and Channy Lenaugh, of the band Polica(scroll down for more details and videos)

Local band NUNSUN, performs at Festival in the Park, July 15

On the second day of the 40th Festival in the Park local band, NUNSUN, performs on the Watering Hole Stage from 1-3 p.m., Saturday, July 15, at Spearfish Canyon Park.

ADMISSION: This is a FREE event!

The prodigious young Spearfish singer/songwriter, Brock Anundson, and his neo-rock vision have fueled his acoustic originals.  After his first CD release in 2014, it just clicked, and the sounds grew with inspiration from Brock’s son, Hendrix, and wife, Kalene. The project was soon joined by guitarist, Eric Walker, who spiced up the mix with a powerful solo influence. (scroll down for more details)

Festival in the Park Saturday lineup continues with Brad McKim

On the second day of the 40th Festival in the Park, Brad McKim performs on the Watering Hole Stage from 3-5 p.m., Saturday, July 15, at Spearfish Canyon Park.

ADMISSION: This is a FREE event!

Brad McKim has been playing and writing music for close to 40 years. Brad’s performances include originals as well as cover versions of songs by some of his key influences including Bruce Cockburn, Stephen Stills, Dan Fogelberg, Jerry Jeff Walker, Jason Isbell and many others. Colorado band, The Red Petals, final concert on July 15

The final concert on Saturday, July 15 at the  40th Festival in the Park features Boulder, CO band, The Red Petals. They’ll perform 5-8 p.m. on the Watering Hole Stage at Spearfish Canyon Park. This is a FREE EVENT.

Comprised of exports from Colorado’s rich electric scene, the band’s three members share something in common: The music comes first.(scroll down for more details and video)
