Shakespeare’s “As You Like It” brought to stage by National Players

The final event of our 2014-15 Subscription Series is the William Shakespeare play, “As You Like It,” performed by National Players touring group.  Now touring for its 65th consecutive year, National Players is a unique theatre ensemble that brings innovative productions to communities across the United States.

The Weathered Heads is a Minnesota band, which formed in Winona, MN in 2012. Many genres have influenced them but they conclusively prefer a blend of jam, rock, and pop for their sound.   They will be performing on the Watering Hole Stage, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. during The Matthews’s 38th Festival in the Park (Spearfish City Park).  This is a FREE event.

While Matuto was in the Black Hills for their January concert at The Matthews, they made time to visit Mt. Rushmore for the first time.  They set up their cameras and did an impromptu performance that had the security guards dancing.  CLICK IMAGE above for video. Be sure to watch all the way through and see what happens after the song with some Asian tourists!  Fun.

We are a lucky town, you know.  The Matthews is honored to have the Dana Leong Trio live on stage, Thursday, March 19, 2015.  This is another of our outstanding Subscription Series events for the 2014-15 season.  Tickets are also available individually for $25 adults and $10 youth & BHSU students.
