The Matthews is honored to have The Ennis Sisters perform live on its stage at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017. 

The Ennis Sisters are world-renowned performers whose inspirational sibling harmonies, humorous recitations, Irish step dancing and engaging stage rapport lift spirits and warm hearts. Stories and songs invoke their home in Newfoundland. This is the third event of our 2016-17 Subscription Series season. “Mother King” contemporary opera graces The Matthews stage, Mar. 24

Dameun Strange wanted to tell the untold story of Alberta Williams King. So, he composed a contemporary opera telling her story as an activist and mother of Martin Luther King, Jr.  “Mother King” is performed by 15 very talented vocalists and musicians at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Mar. 24, 2017.  This concert is the fourth event in our 2016-17 Subscription Series Season

Community Theatre comedy, “Funny Little Thing Called Love,” final event of season

The Matthews ends the Subscription Season with a new Jones Hope Wooten comedy, “Funny Little Think Called Love.” Our community theater takes to the stage for the weekend of April 28-May 1, 2016. Max G. Merchen directs this production. The Thursday-Saturday performances are at 7:30 p.m. and the Sunday show is at 2:00 p.m. This is the sixth & final event in our 2015-16 Subscription Series. Individual tickets are on sale for $15 adults, $5 youth and BHSU students.
