The show has a new name!
The Matthews’ Community Art Show (formerly the Winter Art Show) is now in its 40th year, April 10-18, 2019. The show is being held in the Spring this year because The Matthews received a grant to be a part of the 2019 NEA Big Read. Many Big Read activities filled the gallery with fun and exciting apocalyptic themed work in January.
The 40th Community Art Show is free and open to the public during business hours, Tuesday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., in The Matthews art gallery. From beginners to professionals, the show is open to applicants of all ages, levels, and media. Show registration is not limited to geographical location.
The Matthews will be taking artist work with completed registrations April 3-5, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m each day, in The Matthews Art Gallery.
During the run of the show, patrons are able to vote for their favorite piece of art. The People’s Choice award is announced at the end of the show run on Apr. 18. Be sure to vote while visiting the show. ONE VOTE per person, please.
