Author Visit with Mary Livingston
Mary is “hooked” on history or rather documenting history. And, she loves historical research but hates the writing. Come listen to how she overcame her “handicap” to write five local history books. She can give you ideas how you can write your own book even if you are not a writer.
Mary, a retired educator, earned her BA at BHSU and her Masters at SDSU. She is the author of “Whitewood Historical Notes & Folklore,” “Frawley and Anderson Families,” “Centennial School #11,” Finding Grandpa’s Homestead,” and editor of the Lawrence County Historical Society’s “Lawrence County, South Dakota, Town Timelines.” In between books she has published a number of pamphlets, such as, “Whitewood, South Dakota, Business Advertisements in the Whitewood Plaindealer Newspaper 1917,” and Whitewood’s Historical Walk.”
