January in South Dakota can be cold and dark. The Matthews brings some light and warmth every January Sunday (starting Jan. 10) with the annual Foreign Film Festival.  This year’s film festival is part of the Spearfish Big Read.  The community will be reading “The Maltese Falcon.” Therefore, our foreign films will be of the film noir, mystery, and intrigue genres.

fff-logo-flat-WEBEach movie starts at 2:00 p.m. with popcorn, soft drinks, beer & wine available for purchase.  Tickets will go on sale in December for $8 per person per movie.  A Producer’s Pass is also available for $25. Each pass is good for 4 movie admissions (use in any combination).  That is a $7 savings over buying tickets individually.  Note: A Producer’s Pass MUST be purchase at least 24 hours in advance of the movie you are attending.  They cannot be purchased at the box office for that day’s movie.

HINT:  A Producer’s Pass is a wonderful holiday stocking stuffer.  Just sayin’.
