I enjoy painting people, scenes, or things I have experienced first-hand. I find landscape scenes of the Black Hills and South Dakota plains interesting along with portraits of the Native American life. Light is an important part of my paintings.
I like to depict the people who carved the history of South Dakota and animals and flowers. I work in watercolor, using loose areas in which I let the media do its own thing, and work tight in areas I want to focus on.
