Ukiyo Art Graces our Bellman Stage

bellman-hicks2

Today we were honored to have retired professor emeritus, Richard Hicks, give a presentation on his collection of Japanese Ukiyo art.  Part of his presentation included his family’s history on how they came into having the collection in the first place.

The event was held in the theatre to accommodate the use of our movie screen and LCD project for the powerpoint part of it.  Believe me, learning how to be the tech person on this was challenging.  But, now I am a full fledge power point person!

Next month’s Bellman is the introduction of The Big Read event in Spearfish…October 9!
