On Monday, Dec. 15, The Matthews’ board president, Dan Contonis, presented a check for $1,500 to Spearfish High School assistant director, Brenna Meyer. The check was the result of ticket proceeds from the high school’s presentation of “Arsenic and Old Lace” on The Matthews’ stage Dec. 4-6.
This is going to be fun. The audience is going to reap the benefits of this cast because they are going to be having a blast. Director, Max G. Merchen announced the cast for the February play, “Last Round-up of the Guacamole Queens” this morning. See below for the cast. Rehearsals start in ernest in January.

The Matthews is very pleased and excited to be presenting the encore performance of Spearfish High School’s (SHS) “Arsenic and Old Lace.” The students originally performed the play on November 10-11, 2014. The kids and the play are moving over to The Matthews for 3 nights. All proceeds will benefit the SHS Drama Department.
“The Last Round-up of the Guacamole Queens” will be performed by our Community Theatre February 13-15, 20-22, 2015. The auditions will take place in The Matthews’ theater December 9-10, at 6:30-8:30 p.m. both days. See below for play details and audition needs.
