The Matthews is honored to have The Ennis Sisters perform live on its stage at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017. 

The Ennis Sisters are world-renowned performers whose inspirational sibling harmonies, humorous recitations, Irish step dancing and engaging stage rapport lift spirits and warm hearts. Stories and songs invoke their home in Newfoundland. This is the third event of our 2016-17 Subscription Series season. A Spearfish BIG READ Event

TBR-Logo-PartnersThe Miracle Man show is the KICK-OFF event for the January-March 2016 Spearfish Big Read — and what a kick-off it will be.  The Big Read book Spearfish will be reading is “The Maltese Falcon.” The Miracle Man’s vaudevillian genre is of the type popular during the era “The Maltese Falcon” was written. Tomáš Kubínek will have you rolling with laughter at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 9, in The Matthews Opera House.  The Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest.

Shakespeare’s “As You Like It” brought to stage by National Players

The final event of our 2014-15 Subscription Series is the William Shakespeare play, “As You Like It,” performed by National Players touring group.  Now touring for its 65th consecutive year, National Players is a unique theatre ensemble that brings innovative productions to communities across the United States.
