Festival in the Park Saturday lineup continues with Brad McKim

On the second day of the 40th Festival in the Park, Brad McKim performs on the Watering Hole Stage from 3-5 p.m., Saturday, July 15, at Spearfish Canyon Park.

ADMISSION: This is a FREE event!

Brad McKim has been playing and writing music for close to 40 years. Brad’s performances include originals as well as cover versions of songs by some of his key influences including Bruce Cockburn, Stephen Stills, Dan Fogelberg, Jerry Jeff Walker, Jason Isbell and many others. Colorado band, The Red Petals, final concert on July 15

The final concert on Saturday, July 15 at the  40th Festival in the Park features Boulder, CO band, The Red Petals. They’ll perform 5-8 p.m. on the Watering Hole Stage at Spearfish Canyon Park. This is a FREE EVENT.

Comprised of exports from Colorado’s rich electric scene, the band’s three members share something in common: The music comes first.(scroll down for more details and video)

Chilean music graces The Matthews with Nano Stern on Nov. 14, 2017

The Matthews is honored to have Chilean singer/songwriter, Nano Stern, perform live on its stage at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017.

Nano Sterns’ path as an artist follows richly crafted song lines laid by his family and his Chilean musical ancestry and unites those with a sound utterly fresh and relevant. Nano has found something within that has positioned him as the voice of a generation. This is the third event of our 2017-18 Subscription Series season.

Cost is $25 adults, $10 youth & BHSU students. Individual tickets now on sale.

Portland Cello Project coming to The Matthews Jan. 19

The Portland Cello Project (or PCP, as their fans affectionately call them) takes The Matthews stage at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 19, 2018.  PCP has wowed audiences all over the country with extravagant performances, everywhere from Prairie Home Companion, to that punk rock club in the part of town your grandma warns you not to go to after dark. The group has built a reputation mixing genres and blurring musical lines and perceptions wherever they go.

This is the fourth event of our 2017-18 Subscription Series season. Cost is $25 adults, $10 youth & BHSU students. Individual tickets will be available for sale on Sept. 1.

Theater & Dance – Sossy Mechanics – comes to The Matthews Mar. 12, 19

The Matthews is very excited to bring Sossy Mechanics’ performance of  “Trick Boxing”  to The Matthews stage.  Sossy Mechanics is a theater and dance company the combines the energetic and charismatic forces of Brian Sostek and Megan McClellan.  The evening starts at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Mar. 12, 2016. This is the fourth event in our 2015-16 Subscription Series.  Individual tickets are on sale now.

Note: This show will have an encore performance on Mar. 19.  Series subscribers automatically receive a great discount.
