Aug. 2-3 | Auditions for Theater on the Run and “Veronica’s Room”

Auditions for the 8th Theatre on the Run and the community theater show “Veronica’s Room” will be Friday, August 2 and Saturday, August 3 from 6:30-8 p.m in The Matthews’ theater. 

The auditions will consist of cold reads. No prior registration for auditions needed.  There are various roles for male and female — age ranges 16+. 

Performance dates for Theater on the Run will be Sept. 7 and 14 starting at 6 p.m. “Veronica’s Room” performance dates are November 7-9 at 7:30 p.m. and November 10 at 2:00 p.m.

“Veronica’s Room” Details

Directed by Hoodie Smock | 2 males, 2 females needed | Performances are Nov. 7-9 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 10 at 2:00 p.m.

“Veronica’s Room” is a chilling mystery thriller by the author of Rosemary’s Baby that explores the thin line between fantasy and reality, madness and murder. Students Susan and Larry find themselves as guests enticed to the Brabissant mansion by it’s dissolute caretakers the lonely Mackeys. Struck by Susan’s strong resemblance to Veronica Brabissant, long- dead daughter of the family for whom they work, the older couple gradually induce her to impersonate Veronica briefly to solace the only living Brabissant, her addled sister who believes Veronica alive. Once dressed in Veronica’s clothes, Susan finds herself locked in the role and locked in Veronica’s room. Or is she Veronica, in 1935, pretending to be an imaginary Susan? Warning: This play contains adult themes. No one under 18 will be permitted.
