The Subscription Series Patron will enjoy six exceptional performances at an unbeatable value! As a season subscriber, you have assured the SAME reserved seat(s) for each performance.
Your seat(s) for any community theater multi-day event is automatically reserved for the Friday of the performance run. You may exchange dates at the time you sign up for the season or later on.
Cost
The Subscription Series costs only $125 per adult and $60 for youth (18 and under) and BHSU students. What a wonderful way to share six evenings out with your entire family! ADDED BONUS: As a Subscription Series patron, you are eligible for adult ticket discounts on select non-series events. As non-subscription events are added to our schedule, subscriber discounts will automatically take place at the time of purchase.

JAS Quintet
October 11, 2019 (Friday): Series Kickoff
Our season begins with a live concert from the JAS Quintet. Based in Sioux Falls, the ensemble features the classic instrumentation of trumpet, saxophone, piano, bass and drums. Their repertoire is a diverse mix of old and new, featuring many original compositions and arrangements by band members. This will be the West River debut for their new album “Bird Ritual Interrupted.”
The Talbott Brothers
November 14, 2019 (Thursday): Americana/Folk Music
The Talbott Brothers are a Portland based duo composed of brothers Nick and Tyler Talbott. Born and raised in Imperial, NE, they began writing and performing together in the summer of 2012 before relocating to Portland, OR. Forming an alternative blend of folk, rock and blues, The Talbott Brothers creatively combine blood harmonies with storytelling and infectious melodies.
Supaman
January 17, 2020 (Friday): Native American Hip Hop
As a member of the “Apsaalooke Nation”, Supaman makes his home on the Crow reservation in Montana. “Supaman” Is Christian Takes Gun Parrish, a Native American dancer and innovative hip hop artist who has dedicated his life to empowering and spreading a message of hope, pride and resilience through his original art form.
Masters of Hawaiian Music: George Kahumoko Jr & Nathan Aweau
March 6, 2020 (Friday): Native Hawaiian Music
Two Masters, featured regularly at Maui’s renowned “Slack Key Show®” share Hawai‘i’s unique folk styles, with origins in the early 19th century Hawaiian paniolo (cowboy) culture. Four-time Grammy winner, master slack key guitarist George Kahumoko Jr. is a vocalist, storyteller, songwriter & author. A talented multi- instrumentalist, Nathan Aweau has been part of such award- winning groups as HAPA, Ka‘eo, and The Ali‘i. Both have won multiple Na Hōkū Hanohano (Hawaiian Grammy) Awards .
Doolin’
March 24, 2020 (Tuesday): French/Irish Music
Thanks to the inspiration and talent of its members, Doolin’ is currently one of the most innovative bands of the Irish music scene. French in origin, this sextet brings a fresh approach to Irish music. Doolin’ combines instrumentals, vocals and original compositions in a resolutely modern style. The arrangements, at times taking their inspiration from pop-rock, folk, jazz, funk or even rap (and always in the best taste), emit great energy.
“Stepping Out”
April 23-26, 2020: Community Theater Comedy
The Matthews’ community theater presents the rollicking comedy “Stepping Out” by Richard Harris. “Stepping Out” follows the attempts of some working class amateurs to overcome their inhibitions and left feet in a low-rent dance studio in North London. Mavis, a former professional chorus girl tries her hardest to teach the bumbling amateurs some terpsichorean skills for an upcoming recital. But before the dancing begins Mavis must mediate the minor dramas that erupt among this motley but lovable crew on their way to triumph at their recital.
