COMING UP AT THE MATTHEWS
February was a blur and March is finally here! Warmer weather is right around the corner, and we’ve got the perfect event to help bring on that summer feeling a little bit early.
The Masters of Hawaiian Music: George Kahumoko Jr. and Nathan Aweau will kick off the new month with their concert on March 6. They are incredible instrumentalists and we’ve heard a rumor that George will be bringing his Grammy along with him.
March is women’s history month! Our March Bellman with Marsha Mittman will focus on readings from her original poems that highlight global women’s issues that she has witnessed during her travels.
For artists in the area, our 41st Community Art Show will be accepting entries from March 17 – 19. It’s open to applicants of ALL ages, levels, and media. The show itself will be open to the public on March 20.
To finish out the month, we’ve got two more concerts. First will be Doolin’, a French band that plays incredible Irish music. Then Chris Huisenga will be performing a FREE concert on the 26th with Lucas Olson as his opener.
It’s going to be a great month! Keep scrolling to find out more!
Cheers,
