Some stories are best told where they happened. Over two evenings this June, nearly 200 neighbors walked the paths of Rose Hill Cemetery as 15 costumed actors brought the people of Spearfish’s past back to life.
It was the best-attended Cemetery Walk we have ever hosted, and admission was free, the way community storytelling should be. Attendees gave nearly $1,200 in donations to keep programs like this one going.
The Cemetery Walk is what The Matthews looks like outside our own walls: local performers, local history, and a community that shows up for both.
