Event Series Event Series: 42nd Community Art Show

Celebrate the artistic talents of the Northern Hills Area! The 42nd Community Art Show will be on display April 9 – May 7, 2021.

The Community Art Show is free and open to the public during business hours, Tuesday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., in the Matthews art gallery.  From beginners to professionals, show registration is open to applicants of all ages, levels, and media.  Registration is not limited to geographical location.

Registration

The Matthews will be taking artist work with completed registrations April 6-8, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m each day, in the Matthews art gallery.

People’s Choice

During the first half of the run of the show, patrons are able to vote for their favorite piece of art. The People’s Choice award is announced during the virtual awards ceremony on April 23. Be sure to vote while visiting the show prior to the awards ceremony. ONE VOTE per person, please.

Public Viewing

April 9 – May 7, Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Awards

Winners will be announced via a virtual video awards ceremony posted to our website, Facebook page, and our YouTube channel on April 23 at 5 pm. Awards include:

Best of Show: $175
People’s Choice: $75
Adult – 1st Place: $125 | 2nd: $75 | 3rd: $50
High School – First Place: $50 Middle School – First Place: $20
Grade School – First Place: $15
Kindergarten & Under – First Place: $10
