Auditions for the fantasy play “Through the Looking Glass,” adapted from the beloved story from Lewis Caroll, will be held on June 3 & 4 at 6 pm in the Matthews Opera House Theater. Up to 19 roles are available for a mixture of male and female performers, high school through adult. Roles include familiar characters such as Alice, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, Humpty Dumpty, the Red Queen, and others. No prior experience or registration is needed.
Alice’s adventures continue with a trip into the Looking-Glass World where everything is topsy-turvy and no one behaves quite as they should. Finding herself navigating an enormous chessboard, Alice travels through a garden of live flowers, tries to follow the nonsensical rules of the Red and White Queens, faces the fearsome Jabberwock, and frolics with Tweedledee and Tweedledum. If she can only make it to the final square, she’ll become a queen. Drawn directly from Lewis Caroll’s classic work, this stage production of “Through the Looking Glass” brings you Alice and her friends like you’ve never seen them before!
This show will have extended performance times as it is our summer theatre program. Please make sure you can attend all performance dates prior to auditioning.
Audition pieces can be picked up in the Matthews gallery after May 23.
