Workshop: Decoupage Vessels

Bring that coffee shop conversation and your coffee friends – to RE:Create and see what happens when you explore creativity together.

In this session, Tami Otis instructs us on how to decoupage common household vessels.  This is a FREE event presented by ArtCentral Spearfish. All materials are included. Recommended for ages 15 and up. Sign-ups are requested to make sure we have enough materials.

Come and play while learning to decoupage with different mediums like fabric, yarn, lace, ribbon or tissue paper. You will probably be up to your elbows in the fun, so please be sure to wear clothes you don’t mind getting glue on and leave your jewelry at home!

Once you learn the basic techniques, if it stands still you may want to decoupage it!

Anyone can do this. There is no such thing as perfection. All levels of ability, beginner to expert, are encouraged to attend. You’ll end up with a piece of art to take home and enjoy. Supplies are available for your use there but feel free to bring something you would like to cover or your own mediums too.

The workshop takes place in the ArtCentral RE:create makerspace in The Matthews’ art gallery.

Sign-up is preferred

Even though the workshop is free, sign-up would be preferred in order for the instructor to be prepared with the correct amount of materials and supplies. Either call the art gallery at 605.642.7973 ext.0 — OR email [email protected] to add your name to the class list. If emailing, be sure to provide a phone number.
