This weekend community art course is designed to introduce participants to the art of relief printmaking using linoleum and rubber blocks. Over the course of two days, students will learn the basics of carving and printing their designs onto paper and fabric.
Through hands-on demonstrations and individual guidance, participants will explore the different techniques and tools involved in creating a successful relief print. They will learn how to transfer their designs onto the block, carve out the negative space, and use ink to print their image onto paper and fabric. Students will have the opportunity to experiment with different types of paper and fabric, as well as learn how to properly clean and maintain their tools.
Whether you’re a beginner or have some experience with printmaking, this class will provide you with the skills and confidence to create beautiful, handmade prints that you can be proud of. Come join us for a weekend of creativity and fun!
