PERFORMANCE CANCELED! We are so sad to announce that due to the increase in local cases of COVID-19, we are canceling Theater: Running in Place. This is obviously the last thing we wanted to do, but feel that this decision is in the best interest of the health of our patrons, staff, cast, and volunteers. We will issuing refunds for all tickets purchased. If you purchased in the box office or over the phone, this refund will be distributed via check. If you purchased online, you will be refunded back to the credit card you used during the initial purchase. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us during business hours at 605.642.7973 or email [email protected]

Theater: Running in Place will be taking place on September 18 and 19 at 7:00 pm with a Sunday matinee on September 20 at 2:00 pm.

Tickets are $25 and include a free drink and mask.

Tickets are limited and seats will be assigned based on ticket groups purchased in order to observe proper social distancing. Masks will be required in the auditorium when not eating or drinking.

How will this be different from Theater on the Run?

Usually, Theater on the Run features five one-act plays at different downtown locations. Audience members would walk from each location to see the next show. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have  had to make a few changes to the format this year. All five one-acts will be performed in the Matthews Opera House so that we can more easily observe social distancing. Seats will be assigned by the staff based on ticket purchased together so that groups can sit together and we can space out audience members.
