Parking lots at Festival in the Park are reserved for vendors and select Festival staff members. Prairie Hills Transit will be providing shuttle service to and from the festival. The shuttle is wheelchair capable. The parking area for this service is the gravel parking lot directly across from Lyle Hare Stadium, the BHSU football field, on St. Joe Street. It will be clearly marked. Prairie Hills Transit will pick up at the BHSU parking lot on the hour and half hour — dropping off at the park 15 minutes later. For instance, BHSU parking lot at 12:00 and 12:30 and drop off at the park 12:15 and 12:45. We ask all attendees to be respectful of businesses and residences close to park. Please make sure you do not park on any private property.

Can I ride my bike to Festival in the Park?

Absolutely! In fact, we think riding your bike is one of the best ways to get to Festival. Once you arrive, please walk to your bike into the park to avoid hitting any other attendees or vendor booths. There are bike racks located throughout the park.

No!  N0 pets are allowed on park grounds throughout the event.  It is a city ordinance for these 3 days only.  In previous years, the festival had pet sitting services for park patrons AND vendors. Unfortunately, the company that provided this service will not be able to do so this year.  Just below is a link to a list of pet boarders. Please make plans ahead of time for your pets.

What is $5 Wristband Night?

Friday’s $5 Wristband Night is our largest fundraiser of the year! Many people wonder why they should pay money to go to Festival in the Park on Friday when all other days are free. For a very low price, you are supporting the arts in Spearfish. You get to preview & buy from your favorite vendors a day ahead! The Watering Hole will be open and will have two great musical groups performing from 4 pm to 10 pm. Only folks with wristbands get to enjoy these bands.

Where can I find information about vendors?

We post our vendor information on our Facebook page at least a week ahead of Festival in the Park. This same information is also published in the Black Hills Pioneer the Thursday before Festival. You can also stop the information desk to grab a copy of our map and vendor list.

Are there children’s activities at Festival in the Park?

Festival in the Park is an event for all ages! Young or old, we know attendees will have a blast shopping the vendors and listening to our phenomenal bands. We also have children’s activities available on the Saturday of Festival from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. These activities may vary and change each year.
