The NEA Big Read Series

Three Productions, One Great Price

With the COVID-19 pandemic impacting our ability to secure performing acts for our full Subscription Series season, we are excited to announce that in 2021 we will instead be offering the “NEA Big Read Series.” Tickets to this shortened season will include three outstanding performances. The selection of these performances were inspired by the novel “A Wizard of Earthsea” by Ursual K. Le Guin and showcase the magic of film, theater, and illusion.

NEA Big Read Series ticket holders will enjoy three exceptional performances at an unbeatable value! As a series subscriber, you have assured the SAME reserved seat(s) for each performance.

The NEA Big Read Series costs only $60 per adult and $25 for youth (18 and under) and BHSU student.  What a wonderful way to share three evenings out with your entire family!

2021 NEA Big Read Series

Right in the Eye
February 26, 2021 (Friday)

Georges Méliès film cine-concert

If the imagination were to incarnate, it would not be surprising if it took the form of cinematographer Georges Méliès. Considered by the Lumière brothers as the inventor of the seventh art, he is the man of all superlatives. Inventive, emblematic personality, pioneer and brilliant entertainer. While alive, he revealed the extent of his visionary genius. Light and scenography confer a very particular identity which makes “Right in the Eye” much more than a cinema-concert. It shapes an ingenious, poetic and wonderful spectacle.
