ArtCentral Spearfish presents the third summer of its Linking Fences community project. Artist Cary A. Thrall of Cat Scratch Studio is creating three fences across three communities for 2019 and denim is a big part of all three fences. Because of that, we need help from our community in cutting this denim into strips.

Summer in the Black Hills is the best! With the return of the comedy melodrama, “The Phantom of The Matthews Opera House,” new traditions for friends and family are created. This show was written for us by Paul Higbee in 1976 and first performed 43 years ago. Good old-fashioned belly laughs come from this wonderful cast of students from Black Hills State University’s theater department. You’re going to love the heckling cowboys and vivacious card girl!
The Matthews Opera House and Arts Center is excited to announce the winners of the Community Art Show. Formerly known as the “Winter Art Show,” this was the fortieth event of its kind to be hosted by The Matthews.
The Matthews is looking for Black Hills artists to show and sell their work.
